First of all, we would like to thank all of the teams for participating. The speakers we bring and the activities we are able to do would not be possible without fundraising and by participating in this contest, you are contributing to that. Thank you!
This year we had 5 judges from within the photography club. One person is in charge of the themes and keeps them under wraps. That one person collects the images and puts them into 48 individual emails and sends them out to the judges. The judges reply back to each individual email with which image they vote for. The subject with the most votes wins that subject. The team that wins the most subjects, wins the competition. This year we had 14 subjects with ties. A tie happens when either all 5 judges pick a different image or 2 judges pick the same image and 2 other judges pick another. For the tie-breakers, we had an accomplished photographer who is not a club member choose.
Because there were so many ties, this competition really could have gone any way. One subject makes all the difference!
Here are the results. . .

The winner of the “best in show” is Mike Plucker from Full Exposure. He has won a 16×24 canvas from Paint Addict Studios with his shot for the theme “river”. Each of the 5 judges chose one image that stood out to them and our generous donor then chooses one of the 5 as the winner. Other best in show nominees were Chad Schmidt for “field”, David Wynia for “rainbow”, Mike Plucker for “spice” and Gina Stocker for “beverage”.
Congrats to ALL teams. We absolutely LOVED seeing your images and we hope to see new ones from you all again next year.
