The Hutchinson Photography Club is, very simply, a group of people interested in photography. We meet once a month to talk about photography, upcoming events, and get our hands on our cameras. We meet once a month at the Hutchinson Center for the Arts.
Throughout the year we do various activities such as volunteer work in the community, field trips, workshops, and bring in speakers.
The Photography is open to anybody who has an interest in taking photos. Bring your camera phone, point-and-shoot, or DSLR. Any level of knowledge and camera is welcome. Stop by and say, “Hi.”
When do you meet?
We meet the third Tuesday of the month from 7-9PM in the Hutchinson Center for the Arts. The HCA is located in downtown Hutchinson at 15 Franklin St SW, just behind Zella’s.
What do you do at meetings?
We share photos, have a speaker, or discuss upcoming events. Each month, we have an assignment for us to take pictures of for the month. For example, for October 2008 the assigment was “Orange”.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself! You’re welcome to bring photos of that month’s assignment, other photos you’d like to share, and anything else that you find interesting or have questions about.
I don’t have a good camera, can I still join?
Our club is open to all, from young to old, amateurs and semi-professionals to professionals. The only requirement is a love of photography!
