First off, we would like to thank everybody from the Hutchinson community for all the support and encouragement for our Annual Showcase this past Tuesday. We work hard throughout the year, and are glad that you enjoy the evening. It’s so great to see so many from the area come out to see our photography.

We had around 120 photos on display between about 20 photographers. Every year we have judges that come in and critique the photos. They give out first, second, third, honorable mention, and Judge’s choice awards prior to the Showcase opening to the public. During the show the public is invited to vote on a People’s Choice award.

This year we also included a critique session for the photographers to come in and ask the judges about their Showcase pieces. This give the photographers a chance to hear what the judges enjoyed about their photographs and what they may need to work on in the future. This helps us keep growing as artists.
We would like to thank Dave Johnson from National Camera Exchange, Lisa Crayford from Country Gallery, and Dennis Nelson from Nelson Photography for coming out to this year’s judges. We would also like to thank Gaelic harpist Ann Heymann and her guests for playing throughout the Showcase.
